    Hi girls and guys,
Just came across this idea of "PURPLE" crying in infants. ie what seems to be a colicy baby where they cry for hours although nothing seems to be wrong and they gain weight etc and are happy at times when they are not crying.

The website was linked to from the TIME website.

    http://purplecrying.info/what-is-the-period-of-purple-crying.php
    and
    http://purplecrying.info/sub-pages/crying/why-this-crying-is-normal.php

I know a crying baby that has been fed and soothed, nappy changed etc is frustrating as you feel like you should be doing something to make the baby feel better.
This idea of PURPLE crying seems to reassure that there is in fact nothing wrong and it's more of a developmental phase.
    Interesting!

    Fascinating to read. Thanks OP.

My two never had this, but I was looking after a newborn over Xmas that did this. It is very scary and worrying at times.
