Last night on the turbo i got a puncture (pinhole one) but cant for the life of me work out how, no cut in tyre or foreign body, and yes it is a turbo specific tyre. Can anyone shed any light on this

Could it be low tyre pressure causing a 'pinch flat'?

Had this happen to me lately. Discovered a small piece of glass embedded in the tyre that eventually worked its way into the tube while on the turbo trainer. Kept getting punctures on the road but when it happened on the turbo it made me have a closer look. Hope this helps. Sorry just realised its a turbo spec tyre so wouldnt be on the road.

not a pinch flat pumped tyre up beforehand

Something inside the tyre maybe? A minute piece of glass or grit that overtime punctured the tube?

Also had the same issue recently, fully inspected the rim and tire and could find nothing so I put it down to not keeping the tire pressure up.

Edit: just seen your post, you did check pressure.

checked tyre, rim and tube and found nothing only thing i could think of is that if enough heat is produced could it cause a puncture in a weak part of the tube?

Sounds like a faulty tube unless its one you punctured earlier;)

It could, but as your using a turbo tyre, I would think that's unlikely.

Note where the puncture was in relation to the wheel. Check if the spoke hole at that area has a rough edge. Not all wheels have rim tape so there might be an edge just sharp enough to cause the puncture.

I heard of the heat from the turbo roller causing a tyre to blow if it wasn't released after using it.
    Urban myth?
