    Good to know Rte is putting taxpayers money to good use with their on the button coverage of the yearlong dispute in Syria and all the latest goings on with the "new" horsemeat scandal :'( A real purposeful broadcaster of the people always first with the issues that matter and effect us all.And its for this pillar of a service that pat rabitte wants us to fork out the media charge for the internet in case we miss any of their cutting edge to the fore news reporting....give me strength lord !! Where would we be without them??

    I find RTE news headlines are never great. They might lead with something just because they have a reporter who they can chat to on the phone. Rather than something that is of great importance. If you want real international news look at the nytimes website.

    If you watched only rte you wouldnt have a great grasp world news

    Not even that but a new one that might actually start the ball rolling with tackling corruption in this country.The recording of Lowry is irrefutable evidence of his lies and corruption.Surely there can't be a way of covering this one up when he slipped up and got caught redhanded and exposed so shamefully.If RTE were serving the people they would keep this story alive and with a bit of luck Lowry might drown and take down a few others in an attempt to keep his head above water.The DPP has had this tape for weeks and has not yet acted.Surely if there was ever a reason to buy into Ming Flanagans assertion of Garda corruption this is it despite what anyone thinks of him.Law and order is in danger of totally collapsing if this man is not brought to account.
