Deflating tires in between rides

Hi I've been trawling boards for a thread on tire pressure and I'm sure it's on here somewhere, I'm new to cycling and the guy in the edge said 120psi was what I should be at for each ride so have been sticking to that and making sure I'm at this pressure before each ride (no punctures yet) I've two questions one is 120psi abit excessive I see others saying 110 is fine plus should I be deflating the pressure a bit between rides? Can't imagine staying at that pressure in between is good is it?

The min and max tyre pressure willbe written on the side wall of the tyre.
Wouldnt worry about deflating as it will happen naturally hence the need to pump the tyre before every spin.

    Cool thanks, so 120
Doesn't sound excessive then? Ill check the wall of it tomorrow.

    120? No. For a 700 x 23c tyre its normal.

I roll 120 all the time on 700x23s. No problems that were the fault of the tyre so far. :)

    depends on your weight too

And the tyre width, for the 25s I'm using, 90-110psi is the recommended range and I tend to keep them at 100.
