Cost of fan replacement for dell inspiron 1720

    Hi,
    just looking for a bit of advice. Have a dell inspiron 1720 thats just over 6 years old. For the last while the laptop is getting very hot and the fan is making a loud rattling noise. Tried using can of compressed air but hasnt worked. Just want to know how much it would be to get a replacement fan supplied and fitted. Or in the long run would i be better off looking at a new laptop cos the one I have is fairly old aswell.

    It will be a bit more than €40 to get this done, not as straight forward as other models of Dell, if you are feeling brave here is a tutroial but you will have to start at step 1 and go from there, you will have to disassemble fan also to thoroughly clean it.
    If you bring it to a shop it will probably cost about €50 and they may add some new thermal paste also
