    Hello.

I wonder about living cost in Galway student who comes from outside of Galway city.

My plan is staying university accommodation during academic term and cooking food by myself.(But, i think sometimes i need to eat outside when i have busy days)

I go to bar or night club rarely(almost once a month), also do not go to shopping for my clothes or sometings.

I read lots of books and buy its too much in a month so, i just put that cost 60 EURO per month.

Also, i will buy bike for transport in Galway, so i donot need any bus ticket for journey.

It's my all of infos for spend money! Could you give me extra info or more infos? I'm looking forward your answer :D

Thank you very much and have a nice weekend!

Remember that that whatever budget you set out for yourself there will always be stuff that randomly comes up that you will completely f**k up your budgeting plans- such as project materials, losing/forgetting your return ticket, rag week, etc.

Your highest costs will be going out too- the less the better budget wise- I go out about 1-2 times.

And if you go home every weekend, cook a few dinners there, put it in a lunchbox and freeze it when you get up (eg cook the meat + curry part of a curry and then just buy rice when you get up there = very cheap dinner for you)

With the above, I would be comfortable at 60 euro, but twenty of that is travel- which doesn't apply as much to you.

Oh yah and Aldis Galahad costs 75c a can- and its fairly nice

I know people who can get through on €50 a week grand, including a night out. I tend more towards €70 or so, because I eat out more than most.

I'm sure you could get books much cheaper than that and then sell them back to a book shop when you're done.

€60 per month? That's ~€15 a week, you wouldn't live on that. Well, you could just about, but it'd be frugal. €60 a week, that wouldn't include rent.

Some weeks will cost more than others. Want to go and see that play/movie/gig, probably another €20 for ticket and a drink.

I just came back from Aldi with food for a week (maybe longer) and a pile of cleaning stuff, €40. This was more expensive than normal.

If you budget for €100 a week (not including rent), you should have enough for bills or surprises.
