I Need A Good Spray Mask/Respirator

I've been removing rust with an angle grinder while wearing a dust mask and it's pretty much useless. More worryingly my Dad uses them while spraying:eek: I'm on the look out for a proper spray mask with disposable filters. Can anyone recommend a brand? I don't want to buy one in Woodies and then find I can't get filters for it! I'd prefer one that has just the one filter in front of the mouth rather than one on each cheek. Thanks

We use them in work in a spray paint booth. I can check for you, but it will be next Tuesday.

Scotts I think is the brand name, I'll see if I can find the one I use for spraying, get them in Safety Direct.

Oops, mine has one filter on each cheek.

Yeah I have been looking them up online and most seem to have two filters. It's not the end of the world but I thought a one filter mask would be lighter

I've been spraying, not all day, but the majority of days in mine. I haven't found it an issue really. Can get some condensation on the inside though, over all I'm happy with it. Reminds me I have to buy new filters for it.

Them white masks are bloody worthless.

They would work out a tenner less altogether than the Scott mask for Safety Direct. Would people recommend?

No idea about the mask, but Caulfields would be reputable.

3m are the masks you want different filter attachments for dust and pesticides. Make sure u ask for advice

What filtyr grade do you need for spraying no point in buying a mask without the right level of filter

I would be using it mostly for grinding rust and dirt off metal. My Dad would use it for spraying with a knapsack sprayer. After that I couldn't tell ye what I need

You'll need two different types of filters, one for each job. If you email Caulfields they'll be able tell ya.
