Hiring a solicitor on the day is a terrible idea it gives them no time to look at case and basically just stand there and take your sentence..I can't image anything from her personal injury lawyer saying she Isint working will help with not having nct

would it not just as proof that she was invovled in an accicdent and the fact she was unable to work due to her injuries.she suffers fro high blood pressure and panic attacks so feels a solister talking in court for her is the best matter

The insurers may take more than a passing interest in this too.

From the posts above the OP should be put off the road. No tax last year and now this? I think she's trying to kid people..

    get a grip you moron

banning people in harsh economic times for no tax and no nct are you well in the head?

A large percentage of this country will drive around every year without tax or nct at some point

What do you mean by and now this? caught with no nct its at the lower end of the scale in offences swear she was caught speeding past a school at half 8 in morning

I agree the OP has approached this in a shady way but if you think courts should start banning people over likes of no nct then your an idiot im afraid!

Most unintelligent post ive seen yet

Forget about the tax situation, it's a symptom that we should set aside for now as it can confuse things. So safety tests for vehicles should be optional? The issue is a potentially unsafe vehicle and potentially unsafe driver on the road.

Protentially, might be, possible. But equally true isn't unsafe, unlikely to cause or be involved in accident.

You do realise that defective vehicles are a tiny % of the reason cars are involved in collisions and its even a smaller % that have no nct.

I be more likely to agree if it failed nct and was listed as dangerous and was still on road.

Or if the garda and RSA inspectors found serious fault during a road side inspection.

But non display of a current NCT paper disk with hugh fine and 5 points is harsh by any means.

Even a car with an Nct can be a ''potentially unsafe vehicle''.

not only did you get two good responses of other users but i dont like when people draw points from my posts which i didnt create

When and where did i say the nct should be optional? Did i say that anywhere in any post? No i didnt

My point is with high service/repair costs ,booking delays and the harsh economic times were in how can you justify banning people and possibly causing them to lose their job(often a result) and loss of access to services (worst result possible for rural population) etc all over no nct not once did she say her car had failed a nct test or was deemed unsafe at any point

Visual nailed the rest of it no point in reiterating it.
