Saw it the other day. It's getting absolutely slated by critics but I really liked it.
With Tina Fey and Paul Rudd to the fore and Weitz pulling the strings I can see why people would go into it thinking it's going to be a madcap comedy and I'd say that's where a lot of the negativity is coming from.
I went to see it because there was nothing else on and i was pleasantly surprised.
Tina Fey and Paul Rudd are great in it (although almost all of the other characters are very one-dimensional) and it's good to see Tina stretching herself a wee bit (even though she has a habit of reverting back to liz lemon every so often).
One thing that does kind of bug me about Tina is that she has this habit of playing the slovenly, junk food eating, exercise hating slob; but look at her, she's over 40 years old yet very pretty, with a perfect complexion and a body that would easily stand alongside any 20 year old actress.
