I'm thinking of putting Arts down as no.1 on my CAO but I'm not sure. I'm just wondering how the course works.. You choose 4 subjects in 1st year (from the groups, I know that part), and in 2nd year do you pick 2 of those subjects to specialise in ? I wanted to choose maybe French, Spanish, Psychology and Economics in 1st year, but the fact (I think) that I could only pick 2 subjects in 2nd year would be a let down! I was hoping I could take the two languages and maybe psychology to degree level also. Would that be possible? Also, by the end of the 4 years, would you be fully fluent in your chosen language(s) ?

    Thanks :D

No you can only take two subjects. You can however take diplomas in some of the languages.

And your fluency at the end of the 4 years depends on your effort over the course and especially on your erasmus

Agreed with the above poster, it's so tempting to just scrape passes with a language module. it's all about your own input.

also, note that arts is only a 3 year degree, the '4th' year would be between 2nd and 3rd I think where you go to eg spain if you are studying spanish to study over there
