Animals that aren't pokemon yet?

I thought this might be fun/interesting idk.

I was thinking yesterday that were no lion pokemon, after a google search it seems the only one considered a lion is "Entei". But I don't know about you, always assumed they were "Dog" pokemon and it's a legendary anyway.

I'd like to see lion made into a pokemon XD

What else hasn't been pokemonised and what would you like to see?


PS: After a bit more googling, I notice luxray is 'based' off a lion, it seems. But that never occured to me. I think there needs to be another. Would be cool if it had a female and male form version ^_^

I'd like to see one based on a wolf. There's been a few canine pokemon, but I can't think of any that are specifically wolf like.

I always assumed Mightyena was wolf like. I know the name hints at hyena but I always thought it was a wolf, myself, I mean look at him:

I forgot all about Spinda and I'm used to seeing Typhlosion on two legs so never really thought of it as a badger although it is similar.

I always thought though that Golett and Golurk are more like golems then robots, given their names and Ground/Ghost typing

The legendary Dogs are closer to the Big Cats than dogs. Raikou is a tiger, Entei is a lion, and Suicune is a cheetah.

but yeah my first opinion of spinda was that it look like a teddy.

I recently started watching Avatar: The Last Airbender. It struck me that all the weird animal combinations in that show would make excellent Pokémon.
