Just seen this on the journal.ie, the video of Sky News Mark Stone being detained by Beijing police, whilst filming a live report, and being allowed to continuing his live report.

Weather its a set up or genuine, have to admit, its a major scoring point for them.

Switched over to them ashamingly for the first time in ages, just to see where they go with it.

I get the feeling they won't be too pleased when they realise that broadcast was live!

You're ashamed to switch over to sky news, but dont mind the journal.ie?

I'd say each to their own, but thats stretching it.

Edit; maybe your ashamed that you haven't switched over in so long....

The journal I can cope with, Skynews though I consider them the redtops of 24hr News, hence it probably being a major scoring point for them, and my shame of switching over to them. However have just switched off as it hasn't even made it to their top story.

They'll send "Rambo" Burley to get him out, she makes Chuck Norris look live a five stone weakling.

The Chinese, otherwise a good bunch, are notorious dwarf haters.

Why Sky News sent Warwick Davis to do live reports is anyones guess!

"It's not about the money - money - money" :)
People in the media still need to follow the laws of the country they're in.
This lad was asked to turn of the camera and he kept on filming... He is lucky not to be prosecuted for doing that. Totally disrespectful to the law.

It would have been better if they'd started beating him because a polite and respectful police officer talking to someone is never going to go viral at all.

And really that's what we want from the news nowadays, not information but something we can forward to our friends, stick on facebook/boards and tweet about, isn't it?

If this'd been Fox News they'd already be lobbying for nuclear strikes on the Chinese mainland.
