Does this translation look ok?

There's a sign on a hoarding in Donabate train station that says

Níl pearsanra neamhudáraithe

for which the English translation is

No unauthorized personnel

But to me it reads

Unauthorized personnel are not...

Should it not be

Níl cead ar pearsanra neamhudaraithe

Thoughts?

I personally would say "Cosc ar daoine neamhudaraithe"

But in general my attitude is that as long as it is understandable (and not absolutely atrocious) then I'm happy enough with the effort! :P

I would also add that it should read "Níl cead ag pearsanra neamhudaraithe" with implicitly [isteach] or [thar an pointe seo] at the end!

Also, I would read this as meaning 'Personel are not unauthorised'

Guys there are grammatical errors in all of the above I can correct them if you'd like. If you aren't confident (or even if you are) post a disclaimer.

I would say Do dhaoine údaraithe amháin (Irish doesn't typically do double negatives; it's important to note that direct translations are almost always a bad idea).
