In the off chance that things work the way I'd like them to in the next few months am very tempted to up grade my A3 to one of these, but have just been wondering, in the two attached, the MMI controls seem to be either on the dash or at gear stick level and was just wondering why the difference? Is it due to spec level? And also just wondering has anyone actually driven them, what they like handiling wise etc?

It'll definitely be a case of requesting the first models alloys if or when I do get one, the car looks so much nicer sitting on those as opposed to the 18's on the other pics. And staying so far away from back as possible too, looks gorgeous for about 5 mins after watching then it's back to looking filthy again!

Is there that much difference between the Quattro and FWD? have never actually tested a Quattro and always though in conditions we have over here plus it's manily motorway miles I'd be doing that it wouldn't have much diffference.

Yes, from reports from users here and elsewhere, the chassis and suspension seem tuned for AWD power delivery, you get wheel hop (which is horrible) on the FWD units. "Conditions over here"??... Irelands road conditions are literally a fixed advert for AWD. Quattro isnt a "snow" thing (without proper tyres its still not going to get you far in it). An example of a small country where quattro would be pointless is Singapore.. Ireland is like driving in India but wetter.

Besides, if you want a nice looking "coupe" shape in FWD, get a Passat CC. FWD Audi's is missing the point IMO. The 3.0TDI is meant to be fantastic and quattro only as are most of the better models.
