    well lads.

crashed my car and the radiator is gone. Need to drive it to a garage to get work done on it and to obviously replace the radiator.

The garage is 2.5 miles away. Can't lift the bonnet to get at the rad and have no money to pay for a tow/recovery. My insurance does not include breakdown recovery.

is there anything I can do to make sure I make it to till garage or to make sure my engine doesn't over heat?

If you have lost the coolant from your rad then...no.

Surely you know someone with another car and a bit of rope?

I dunno if ive lost the coolant. I did take it for a small spin last week. That was when I found out the rad was gone. Engine temp dial on the dash was near red by the time I was home. Engine still rumbling when car was turned off.

I actually can't think of anyone. Happened in town I go to college sooo the car is down here and no one I know really has a car never mind with a tow bar :/

You don't need a tow bar, all cars have towing eyes factory fitted.

You need to get off the net and find a way of getting the bonnet open by getting at the through the grill as either way it will have to be opened by yourself or the garage whebn they get it in

break the bonnet, fill it with coolant and run it over. seems like the best option alright.
