Do you mean a box that plays 3D content to a 2D TV or converts 2D content to 3D ?

I was checking these out I'm not sure if I'd buy one there's 2 main ones as far as I can see the technology still seems a bit young..

Check out VIP 3D box and 3D fury box.

I've kuro and would love 3d on it but there's no way I'm changing the telly just for 3d.

    I have a tv that turns 2D into 3D.
Bit of a gimmick, I don't notice much difference so I don't bother with it.
Playing proper 3D content however looks pretty good.

Isn't that like trying to make stereo audio from a mono source ? Sounds like a gimmick as if there isn't 2 different views of the scene seen from different angles then how can you create convincing 3D (not that any 3D I've seen to date has been convincing) from a single view ?

If a 2D movie doesn't entertain on it own merit then how will faux 3D make it any better ? Or am I missing something here ? (perhaps an alternative slant . . . sorry :))
