    I mostly listen to Newstalk, mostly . . . .

But lately it's been annoying the head off me, usually listen in the morning 7-8am ish. But can throw it on in the evening a bit.

Any other talk radio stations, preferably nothing but talk shows.

    TIA

BBC Radio 4 if you have access to the tubes

Agreed, Radio 4 is the biz.

If current affairs are your thing, "The World Tonight" is a very good 45 min run down of major international & UK domestic stories. (at 22:00hrs)

If you can access BBC 5-Live, the "Tony Livesy" show after 22:30 can be quite amusing. Its mostly lightweight stuff.

Depending on where you are you might be able to access BB4 R4 on 720Khz on MW or 198khz LW. I can do so in Dublin.

Radio 4, World Service and the brilliant NPR which has great current affairs, comedy quiz, car show etc is an absolute gem.

LBC 97.3 on the internet. You'll not hear a better talk and phone-in station.

Ya should give Niall Boylan a listen to, ya can find his live show on youtube Monday to friday 1-3 and 9-12.

Of all the talk shows id say thats the best. He can be a bit of a nob but he really gives it to the listeners..

The WYNC mobile app is great - http://www.wnyc.org/mobile

You pick the topics you're interested in, how much time you have, and it picks topics to fill that time.

NPR One is another great app - http://www.npr.org/about/products/npr-one/?utm_medium=npr_one_webapp&utm_source=one.npr.org&utm_campaign=

Just download the Tunein app. It's brilliant.

You can select radio by genre, say TALK for example, and you get all the talk you want from all over the English speaking world.

Echo BBC4, and the World Service. And of course NPR in the US.

    Happy listening.

Seems I have been using the wrong app. That's exactly what I have been looking for! Thanks.

Out of strange curiosity I tuned into Fox News Radio today . If you think the tv network is bad this is another universe altogether.

One of the anchors kept replaying a quote from Trumps speech last night. "You walk down the street and you get shot" repeated at least 10 times in 90 seconds. Truly bizarre.

These guys don't even try to hide it.
