    Hi there,

Basically I have been unable to attend work due to a car accident I had three weeks ago. My company pay me while im out of work and get paid monthly.

I was in hospital for first 6 days as well as I had serious injuries. Anyway I went to doctor yesterday for examination and I also got by social welfare forms and the illness/injury benefit form. The social welfare forms are backdated back to week after the accident date. I never got them before now. I will be out of work for another 3 weeks.

I dont know alot about these things but maybe someone can help me. My company pay me sick leave, I have my forms filled and I gave a reason that I had serious injuries that my claim wasnt processes in time which is true. I will post the forms tomorrow.

How long does it take the social welfare office to transfer the payments to my company? How much money could I lose because of late claim?

    Thanks

Its unlikely that any money will be lost because of a late claim. Its only 3 weeks late. It could take up to 2 weeks before your employer starts receiving payment. I presume that you have nominated the company for payment. You will receive notification when your claim has been processed and how much has been paid.
