embossing signs

    folks,

    Looking to create embossed signs similar to the old style tin signs. This is achievable but unfortunately I only need one offs, rather than large quantities of thousands.

    I have looked into creating these ourselves, and have looked at the video below.


    I will need to find some kind of heavy press, ie fly press etc, that can achieve a force heavy enough to emboss 2mm aluminium.

    Does anyone have an idea of where I could source the use of a press like this to help achieve this?

    Any help appreciated.

    A quick google gives this in Liverpool , there was a magazine doing the rounds with allot of second hand machinery doing the rounds , haven't seen one in a while but if one shows up will post the details up here

    what kind of embossing you on about doing? check out the crowd I work for, www.graepel.ie, we do mostly perforation but would be interested in getting into embossing/dimpling, it was actually something we are having a look at doing at the moment!
