Enhanced Redundancy

I was just wondering about enhanced redundancy packages and what is the standard practice, is it usually based on full years service, so if you had worked 4 years and 3 months is it just based on the 4 years or is it proportioned out.

Also, does anyone know if there are any published guides to working out enhanced redundancy packages from the pubic service around?

It's directly apportioned. To be honest if it's any good you're better hiring a tax consultant. I used one who specialised in public sector, and all I had to do was sign the letter he sent me, and post it in. Got nearly 20k back last week

Why do you think hiring the tax consultant got you a better deal - surely in the PS there are no individual deals.
