I have outlook 2010 on professional plus 2010. I can't specifiy the time my out of office starts and stops, I have to do it manually. I'm in work and on an exhange server, I was googling and I should get an option when I go to
    File
    Info
    Automatic Replies

But all i get is the option to turn them on or off and edie the text reply.
In my old job I was able to specifiy an internal and an external reply and also specifiy the time from and time to I would be out of office. Is it just a different version of outlook? Or soemthing to do with the server?

I have 2010 am on a server - going to where you indicate
File > Info > Automatic Replies I get the following options

    Turning them on / off
Start date and time - end date and time
    Text

Both internal and outside my organization.

Sorry I don't have an actual fix for you - thought it might help to at least see you are in the right place kind of...

Yeah it must be server related, as I asked my colleague on my return to work today and he has an older version of outlook and he doesn't have the option either, and that is the version of outlook I had in my old job! It's annoying as it means you have to think of putting on the out of office last thing as you leave the office rather than when you think of setting it up a couple of days beforehand!

It's an Exchange thing, though as far as I know it was introduced in Exchange 2007 so you must either be on a really old Exchange server or there is some way they can disable that feature.

Annoying either way as that is a really handy feature.

Yeah I know i'll forget to do it before I leave on holidays! Strange that they have such an old server, and can't see any logic why it would be disabled! I might open an IT ticket when I think of it, thanks for the explaination!

Got talking to IT and they will upgrade my mailbox to the new server, and then I will have the option :-)
