Got a lower wisdom tooth extracted on Tuesday night, relatively difficult I think, involved a lot of drilling and splitting, no pain but it took over an hour at the end of which I was drenched in sweat...Anyhow was prescribed ponstan for pain and amoxycillin 500mg for any possible infection, got home took one of each and went to bed. Next day almost no pain but very tired, took the day off work, by afternoon I had severe chills and could hardly stay awake, took to bed with a heavy jumper and duvet, got up for a few hours then back to sleep till this morning. Still feeling a slight chill and tiredness but nowhere near as bad as yesterday and only slight discomfort at the extraction site so haven't taken any ponstan since the first day. Are the flulike symptons normal? I'm 40 btw so probably late to have it out!

Sound most likely that a viral illness just happens to be happening at the same time. Dental surgery really doesn't cause bodily illness, although the your immune system might be run down. Seek medical advice if your worried.
