7 marathons in 7 days

That starts on July 7th, seems to be in direct competition with the 10 marathons in 10 days event in Sixmilebridge (co.Clare) which starts on July 4th. There are a load of Boardsies doing the 10 in 10, pity they are running both events at the same time...

I'm curious, what level of fitness you would need to complete either 7 or 10 marathons back to back? Or is it just pure endurance?

I ask because it seems madness on one level, yet an unreal acheivment on another.

Just saw this. May appeal to some. If I was marathon fit I'd love to do one in the confines of the grounds of Avondale house. Not flat, but tremendously scenic.

I walked into the grocery store yesterday, bumped into Bill Porter (the organizer), walked out scratching my head, wondering how I'd managed to sign myself up for one/all of these? That man would sell sand to the Arabs.

All funds raised going to set up a hospice for Wicklow, a cause he has thrown himself behing for years, with huge success. He's some man:)

Hilarious. Might aim to do one so from a purely social viewpoint.
    You could swim sections!

As these a marathons are to be ran in the morning and the ones in Sixmilebridge are afternoon/evening runs.
Some lunatics may even run both events.
