I came across this sugar recently but cannot find where it is on sale in Dublin.

Large crystals of brown sugar ... maybe the size of peas or half peas ... ?

I tried Fallon & Byrne's with no success.

Large Dunnes stores carry it, tends to be in the baking section.

I'm sure I saw it in Marks & Spencer's Liffey Valley lately, although I'd imagine lots of supermarkets stock it. It's called rock sugar and there was a thread about it in the Food & Drink forum last year:

I know it as sugar crystals and know I've seen it for sale in the past. Believe Tate & Lyle and Billingtons are two brands I recall but can't see it listed on either tesco.ie or superquinn.ie

Driving me crazy where I saw it for sale and hope it wasn't in GB.
It shouldn't be hard to source, enough coffee shops use it.

I may have imagined it but for some reason I think the German discounters may have had it at one stage so check aldi or lidl.

Also on tesco uk but not tesco Ireland

Thanks for the help .. but no one seems to carry it.

It's a reat product, I used to get a "Billingtons" brand but haven't been able to get it for a long time, got M&S rough cut cubes which are a bit like what's used in a lot of hotels. I prefer the Billingtons any day though. Would love to get some again.

    There you go:

"Kandiszucker" from Germany, available in brown or white and this site seems to ship internationally.
