    Hello

I'm planning on switching from 3 broadband to a different provider, however I'd like to know if I can continue to use this 3G (B260a) router as a standard "cable" router as opposed to sharing a 3G signal.

Couldn't find anything on this, hopefully someone has tried it.

    Cheers

Won't work, can't work, the B260a has no way of accepting an other type of input other than via its antenna.

It has an RJ45 port on the back of it...

Just download the manual from the Huawei site you obviously don't believe me.

You said it has no way of accepting any other input other than via it's antenna, which isn't true as it has an RJ11 and RJ45 port on the back. I've read every page of the manual and didn't see anything mentioned about using it as a wired router.

Thems the back doors Tommy , it has no cable broadband FRONT end.

Seeing as it came from 3 it will make a great doorstop. :D

For future reference for anyone else wondering, yes the Huawei modem can be used as a standard cable router using the ethernet port at the back.
