Seperate section for handball

I know that handball is part of the GAA but I think it would be better as far as the boards site is concerned if it was listed seperate because if I post a thread looking for someone to play with or some other information I feel it gets lost in the GAA section.

Is there a need for a dedicated Handball forum? 15 votes

    Hi,

There is a Forums Request section on boards where you can request for new Forums, as mod of this forum I will support your request if you want to go ahead with it, but I don't think there is a need for a sub-forum for Handball mainly because this forum doesn't get that much traffic compared to others, Handball doesn't make up much of the discussion, the other sports would probably be more suitable for their own forums rather than Handball.

Also, Boards.ie has an awful lot of forums, the last forum created was number 1586 in the history of the site, this puts an awful lot of strain on the database and hardware behind the scenes, new forums have to be very warranted for it to be created.

In the interest of getting a gauge of the interest in a sub-forum I'll create a poll on this topic to see if a count can be gotten for how many people would be interested.

don't really see the volume to justify it to be honest. When world championship were on last year there was a thread and that (apart from Mardy Bum's excellent updates) didn't get much traffic.

Maybe a sticky on the first page or is that too messy mods?

Too many stickies can make the mobile site difficult to use so we try to keep them to a minimum.
