Waiting Room blathering

I had to go down to the doctor today to get a prescription. I wasnt in particularly good mood or feeling very well and I just wanted to get it over and done and out of there. There was a queue and i had to wait over an hour to get seen. I didnt fancy any hello magazines so I was just there staring at the wall and tapping my foot. There was two middle aged women waiting before me who seemed to casually know one another and they started talking. I couldnt quite believe my ears as they told each other intimate details of why they were there, for all to hear.
I was just cringing with embarrassment and annoyance and it made the hour feel like 10 hours. For fecks sakes I dont want to know peoples intimate medical details and can't understand why people would disclose them to someone they barely know. And its not coughs and colds they were talking about.

About two years ago alright I was in the doctors waiting room, t'was full to capacity and this middle aged guy beside me he was farting, belching, moaning, the works!

He leaned into me and goes "can I go ahead of you there? stomach ulcers", I looked up for a minute and thought about it. "No!"

It was more the principle of it than anything, I was in just as bad a way to see the doc as he was and I didn't care if he exploded beside me!

Jesus I paid a high price for my principles that morning, I was barely conscious going into the doc with the smells the guy beside me was emitting from every orifice! :(

Why don't waiting rooms have anything except womens magazines or the odd golf mag?

I had to go to my doctor today and it was lovely, I was the only person waiting to see him and it was the same the last time I saw him.

I either have good luck or a terrible doctor :o

There are a few TeddyTedsons about the place now so if you want to be antisocial you'll have to try harder than simply wearing headphones

Anti social has nothing to do with it , obiously if somebody wants to engage you in conversation you take the phones out ,that's just good manners .
