As a long time customer of UPC,they called to ask if I wanted to upgrde to plus box/phone /wireless modem..The want a 90 euro one off..They seem to give more to new customers, than exixting ones.Anyone here ever haggle qwith them..will they budge any if I do....I would be on a 12 month contract.I am with them years, never missed a payment...I say look after us loyal customers:D

Spoke to sales agent today about same deal. I queried the €90 charge. She said they could drop it to €45. Still said I wasn't interested if there was a charge. Put me on hold while she spoke to supervisor. Came back and said there would be no charge as loyal customer. I was set to bite but realised I'd be signing up to a new 12 month contract which costs €150 to break. Decided it wasn't worth it to me but definitely worth haggling-they have room to manoeuvre on that €90 charge

I was contacted again...I said I was interested in the deal, but not in paying 90 euro..it was 45 for new wireless modem, and 45 for the plus box.The modem would be free to new customers. They wouldnt play ball at all.

I posted to their Twitter Rep,said about being a loyal customer etc etc..never bothered following up (that was two weeks ago) I got a call today, and there was no 90 euro fee.The new contract doesnt bother me,as I never had any problem with the service, but they want to give me extra for less monthly fee (wireless modem and +box) Where is the catch?

DTH as you are acustomer for years ring them up and say you are cancelling and give your 30 days notice. As you say you have been a long time customer and seem happy with there service.
