They are still around but no shop seems to have been selling them since 2005.

There should still be a few shops around that can put credit on your 3v card. Remember the credit you put on to your 3v card has to be at least 30 Euro minimum. Try anything less than 30 Euro and it won't work.

    Slight side question:
Let's assume you are after buying some stuff with your card and you have for example 1.22 Euro remaining. You forget about the credit remaining on the voucher (card) and after two months the voucher (card) expires.

No point 'Redeeming' or 'Transferring' as it would cost you more than the remaining credit on your voucher (card).

So what happens to the 1.22 Euro?

There is a list of stores selling them on their website,

With the remaining balance I had on my card I would pay off my e flow bill. And then sign up to Netflix using the visa and get a free months TV.

    Thanks DanWhite88 for the info.

But look at the example below:

    Voucher (card): XXX
    Date Purchased: 1st January 2013
Status: Expired (over 2 months old)
    Remaining credit: €1.22

I am assuming in this situation you cannot use the remaining balance on the voucher (card) to pay off for e.g. eflow bill?

    Reason: voucher (card) has expired.

You could Redeem/Transfer: but this will cost you more than remaining balance.

    What happens to your €1.22?

    Answer:
I kinda know the answer - i.e. tough you let the card expire, remaining balance is less than 'Redeem/Transfer' cost. Money lost.

That list is out of date and inaccurateplus nobody uses 3V anymore people moved onto the O2 money card then everyone moved onto their own Bank Visa Debit card.

I could never understand why only a very small number of payzone agents can top up those 3v cards.

Since last month all payzone agents do them.

There doesn't seem to be good communication with the stores. The majority of the stores I would buy 3V vouchers from are surprised when told you don't need the card any more.

The 'Voucher' doesn't activate for 20 minutes. This can come as a bit of a shock, you might think something fishy is going on.

Log into your account to activate a voucher ..or, you can also do it from the main website front page, but it doesn't matter, I'll explain why. ..you'll be asked to enter your email and then that voucher *will* be associated with your account. See below.

    1. You enter a Voucher
    2. You enter your email twice (paste is disabled)
    3. You solve a captcha

The dialogues given on the main site (whether you're logged in or not) suggest a new account is being set up, as the site presumes you might be a first time user , so, the process dialogues lean heavily towards that possible scenario.

A bit confusing, but.. one less card in the wallet.

I'm thinking of getting an 02 money card instead
A bit fed up paying 2-50 for the voucher and then another 1 euro taken off the voucher amount

I haven't done a full comparison yet though

02 is going so the money card will probably be a thing of the past soon,
