Nissan Micra Bonnet Wont Open! Help!

    Hi!

I had a small crash a week ago which resulted in two smashed headlights and an unhappy bonnet.

I have managed to pry the bonnet open enough to be able to squeeze my hand under and reach the release latch- this doesn't work tho!

So tried the interior bonnet opening lever (under the steering wheel to the right) but that does nothing either!

Any idea on how I can get the bonnet to open so I can change the headlight enclosures?

    It's a 1999 Nissan Micra GX!

if the 2 headlights are smashed im going to say the bonnet got pushed back as well? in this case the front panel will need to be pulled to take the pressure off the catch, or you could get a friend to pull the bonnet up while you pull the release lever in side the car

Yea looks like it did a little. The centre of the bonnet was fairly pushed back, so much so that I couldn't get my fingers in and under to get at latch...So I had to pry it open a fair bit then was able to get at the latch but it wasn't working! :(

If u can get the grill out of the way
Loosen the bolts holding the latch onto the front panel
