Visa Debit International Usage

    Hey,

    I was recently in Germany and the Netherlands and had some embarrasing moments due to some accepting visa debit and other not.

    It doesn't make sense to me as visa is international and sure should be working 100% internationally?

    What are the actual guidelines for using these cards internationally? One of the location was IKEA which I certainly expected to work.

    Visa Debit can be used internationally. The individual mechant would decide what cards they would accept. This is something we would have no input into.
