BMW 316i E30 Touring Rear Window Washer Hose Replacement

I have recently bought a 1992 316i Touring which is rough round the gills but suits my needs as a day to day car. However the rear wiper washer is not working. I can hear the pump motor fine when the button is pushed on the dash. Water is getting as far as the tailgate hinge on the left hand side of the car and then it proceeds to drip out onto the spare wheel cover I have removed the small inspection cover beside the hinge and I suspect a hose has deteriorated and is leaking. Having a feel around I suspect there is a link hose from what seems to be a junction inside the body to a nipple in the tailgate. This might be 6 to 8 inches in length. Have I diagnosed this right? - I don't want to be pulling at an electrical cable - they seem to be on the other side. Secondly is it an easy fix. If so how? Is there a thread I can look at here or elsewhere?

    Thanks in advance!
