Mazda 323F catalytic converter

Hi all

I have a Mazda 323f 1.6, registered in december 2001.

It failed its NCT on emissions high idle and needs a new cat for it to pass it.

I am looking online for the cheapest available but not having much luck.

I am hoping someone on here and give me a link to a website or some advice on where to purchase one from and the best way to go about it.

not wanting to spend more than 300 on a new one, i know there expensive to buy but i think 300 would be expensive enough!

There's brand new cats for a 323 on ebay from €50 up. Best to use ebay.co.uk and then use Parcel Motel. Better selection.

Make sure you order the correct one. Get your engine code ready, and double check. Email the seller if unsure.

Check out the Mazda UK forums and they'll advice you. You can use a UK address then with Parcel Motel a/c. Rep of Ireland is a rip-off for parts.

Maybe someone here can advice on a good brand to get. Spending €300 on a cat on 12 year old car is a lot.

That one you linked was for a 1994 model, mine is 2001 model.
