Christy Dignam unwell

    Christy Dignams daughter Kiera has posted on facebook that he is unwell. After being treated for a chest infection and pneumonia he has been diagnosed with cancer. He will not perform for the foreseeable future.

    Hope he gets well soon.

    Great showman and a real character. Everything you want in a front man really. Have seen him live countless times and always gave everything.

    Aslan are a severely under rated band, who have some excellent songs in their collection. A lot of people wrote then off without giving them a chance. I have seen them play numerous times. They always put on a good show. Christy's book, 'This is Christy Dignam' is a good read and is very candid regarding hos drug abuse.

    Hopefully he can get over this.
