Came out of the tax office after paying a years tax to find the following scrape on me bumper!!. Only bloody have the car 2 weeks!. Apprears as though the paint has been badly stained..So wondering does anyone kno if any amount of buffing will take this out?!. Or if a respray would b the only option?..thanks

I had some paint taken off mine in a car park recently. Only had the car four days at that point. Some people are just *****. Will take care of it.

I wouldn't mind if it was the 300 quid celica I had last month but when it's my 16k Beemer, it's just depressing!. Almost starting to think its too good of a car to leave in a carpark..there's just too many ignorant skillless people driving Micras and corsas who don't know how to drive or park and just bang about using their bumpers as parking sensors, it's not the first time it's happend and prob won't be the last!!

You may as well put boot polish on it, t-cut is useless and will come off again with the first sign of rain.

Get some Dr. Colorchips to match the paint. Very easy job to do.

I feel your pain, it happened me with a brand new motor a few years ago in a hotel car park and the cnut drove away but luckily a bouncer got her reg number.

I went to the cops and they took her in, I left the bull out when it came to the repairs. It cost her ten times the price if she had left a note or made herself known.

I tried colour magic (black) then deep auto glym polish then it didn't look great so just went over the whole thing with the t cut and It looked a bit better cause that's all I had lying about... Really don't want to go at it with paint myself cause I kno il ruin it.. Does anyone know what product would do a better lasting job??

No product or polish will do a better lasting job because there's actually paint missing from the bumper. Polish will only temporarily fill it in, but every time the car gets washed it'll show up again.

I don't think it's even possible to fcúk up using dr. colorchips.

Watch these videos to see how easy it is

While you're at it you could clean up the rest of the chip "rash" on the bumper too

    might give that a go,
im currently gettin a spoiler painted and hopefully will be collecting tomoro i might ask the guy doing it how much a bumper respray would cost just to have the option in case this dr colourchips doesnt come out to my liking!..

incompetent drivers every where. should not happen in the first place.

anyone who hits a car in a private car park while trying to get in/out is not fit for driving., imagine them driving on a long haul route, put a dash cam in their car and it would be fun.

Identical thing happened my 3er a few months ago. Get used to it, people see the badge and nearly aim for it. Girlfriends father always has a nice car eg a8, 7 series etc he reckons people hit his car out of spite just because of what it is an the badge in the front. He currently has a nasty dent in the door which looks like a kick, had to replace the rear bumper before Xmas due to someone reversing into him.

Looks easy enough to use. You'd recommend it then?

I am considering a dash cam for that reason.such as maybe this one.

This model stops recording when parked but is activated by movement in front of the camera and records for one minute after and saves the recording.I know this does not help you now but could in the future.
