So, as of 1 hour ago, I really want a Gameboy Advance Micro, but I am wondering what are the best games for the Gameboy Advance.
Since I have an Ambassador 3ds I do have the 10 GBA games on my system there.

So board's, the question is... what are the top games you would recommend I invest in for my new GBAMicro?

The Golden Sun games are really good, Mario and Luigi's Superstar Saga is great, Advance Wars, the Castlevania games, Metroid Zero Mission (an excellent remake of the original Metroid using Fusions' engine) and Astro Boy.

I would have recommended the Super Mario Advance games but they're all available on the Wii virtual console (they're remakes of 2, World, Yoshi's Island and 3 respectively). I also left out the ambassador games.

Yeah I have all the Advance games. They're really good ports, with updated graphics and a multiplayer mode (the original Mario Bros game). I still play them from time to time, especially 3 and World.

If you're looking for a cheapie, Star X (a Starfox clone) tends to go for 1p on Amazon. You'd be surprised what you'd find for 1p, really. I picked up a copy of Puyo Pop for the same price at the same place.

Wario Land 4 is a wonderful puzzle-platformer with plenty of charm and atmosphere.

The GBA version of Street Fighter II is positively delicious too. It ain't a port, but a ground-up remake that plays to the strengths of the GBA, and comes packed with many extra tidbits, such as time-trial and actual challenge modes.

Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire are really nice games.

Atlantis the Lost Empire is an excellent game too. I completed it again recently, and it's as good as ever! You could probably pick it up cheaply too.

Some great recomendations there guys thanks!

So I am going to give myself a week to pick up an GBA/Micro, really want a Micro because I had an Gold Zelda SP but I never played it for some reason a few years back.

But the idea of a small screen sounds awesome at the moment with USB charging.
Does anyone on here have and use a Micro? Whats it like to use? Cheapest I can find is on amazon, £28, pink, screen is a bit scratched though.

Keeping in mind I have these GBA games from the Ambassador games already

    F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, not really into Fire Emblem tbh
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, have to give this a shot at some stage
    Mario Kart: Super Circuit, awesome!
Mario vs. Donkey Kong, loved it
    Metroid Fusion, yeah, was good
Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island, alright.
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap LOVE LOVE LOVED!
    Wario Land 4, Loved it.
    WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames

Games (I may get) so far on my Wish List are:

    Mario 3
    Mario World
    M&L Superstar Saga
    One of the Castlevania games
Star X (never heard of this)
    Puyo Pop (cause its 1p)
Super Street Fighter II Tubor Revival (I did have this years ago, it kinda plays weird or something)

Maybe Atlantis the Lost Empire (THQ, sad face)

EDIT: Re the Pokemon games, never got into them.

Another EDIT: Whats the story with RAGE for GBA games?
I remember they had a lot of games for the GBA but mostly rubbish, all the good games where over priced for what they where. Are they still the same?

Just to clarify Puyo Pop ain't 1p anymore, as I seem to have knicked the last one going at that, but you'll find a copy of the GBA Chu Chu Rocket for 0.35. It it worth constantly checking, as you'll get a wave of vendors offloading their used stock of games not known to sell well, and that tends to be cha-ching in regards to bargains.

RAGE are still the same. If you're in Gamexchange on Talbot St, just ask to see the GB/GBC/GBA games. They're usually in a little box/container behind the counter, and the chap there seems open to a wee bit of haggling.

Iridion 3D is another rail-shooter that's going for pittance on Amazon, around £1.80 something. IGN lambasted it for being too retro on its release, but it looks impressive enough, and there are far worse things you can do with £1.80.

I do. The screen on them is top notch, its the same screen used in the AGS101 model GBA's. Very comfy to hold & use, they are tiny! I got mine complete in boxed & in pristine condition for the equivalent of about €40

Sounds awesome! Where did you pick yours up? €40 boxed sounds very hard to come by with paying the $$$

I traded Super Probotector & Super Aleste for mine, got it off Ciderman on the Arcade & Retro forum. He had another boxed one for sale for a while in similar mint condition & nobody seemed interested! Mad considering they are hard to come by in such condition for such a low price. I think he sold it eventually

    Don't buy a Micro, get the AGS-101!
I have both and the AGS-101 is far more versatile, playing the entire Gameboy back catalogue, plus all the peripherals, on one beautiful screen thats protected by just closing the shell.
The Micro gets scratched really easy, and the replacement screen covers are few and far between.

And as for games, all the above, but Warioware is essential, Warioware Twisted is pretty awesome too!

I love my micro, would love to find a supercard esque slot 2 flash to use in it, have loads of games around but the kids have them deposited goodness knows where.

There's a page worth of protectors for the Micro on ebay.

Will definitely have to get a GBA SP though, looking on ebay they are cheaper than I thought they would be.

One of the great things about some flash cards is that they can run GB, GBC and Nes emulators on them.
That means that you can have a massive catalogue of games for each of those systems running on a GB Micro, sidestepping somewhat the limitations of the little wonder.
I have arranged mine with a dedicated, renamed GB emu, allowing me to play the Mario Picross games!

Dunno how strict a collector you are, but the 3D Games shop on the quays that you alerted me to is doing cart-only GBA games for €3 a pop.

I grabbed a few, but they've got a handful left. Standouts being Bubble Bobble Old & New and Dr.Mario (NES Classics)

    Cheers for that!
Might drop into them during the week, see what they have.

My Micro (pink) is on the way along with SMW, Super Ghouls & Ghost and Astro Boy.
Taking it easy on the games with the GBA as I know I'm an idiot and will buy anything I see for it lol. Easy as she goes an all.

So I got my Pink GBAmicro in the post this morning with Mario World, Super Ghouls & Ghosts and waiting on Astro Boy.

Had a quick look at it before I left for work, its TINY! The screen is so clear and Mario looks deadly on it! So now I want more games lol.
Were any of the Castle Of Illusions games ported to the GBA?
