Hi. I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this in...?

I want to start making digital copies of my DVDs. Obviously there's got to be a trade off between file size and picture/sound quality. So what do people normally go for? Also, how noticeable is picture quality between 'medium' and 'high' quality settings? I'm asking this because the difference between average quality and high quality mp3 isn't always that noticeable, at least to my ears. Is it the same with video? There's not much point in taking up additional storage if there's only gonna be a slight difference in quality.

    Thanks.
