Hit the kerb fairly strongly on the front left today when coming off a hill on some ice, steering is off, had to keep the wheel slightly turned to the right to go straight. Would a wheel alignment fix this ?

More than likely a bent inner tie rod end.

would the steering be that much out on a tie rod.? should be able to replace that myself this evening.

Ended up being sorted by getting the wheel alignment done, now seems to be some vibrations coming from that side when driving at over 100, not sure if its a wheel bearing or something else..

Did anyone get it up on a lift and have a look underneath?

yeah got it into a dealer for the inspection, they didn't see anything at all, will be taking a look myself this weekend, not even sure I'll see anything TBH.

Good that they didn't see anything obvious anyway.
I changed front tyres on the GFs Micra the other day and the car started pulling to the left at speed :(
Even small things will amplify at speed.
