    Hi Guys,

I am on the look for a new car. I was checking 2006 Astra yesterday.
    Couple of points came up.

One is with the AC. When turning on the AC, you get a 'grinding noise' coming from the engine area. Do you know if refilling the AC would solve the problem or is it a big bill waiting to get this sorted?

Second point: could anybody recommend a mechanic that would be able to check the car in Harold's cross area in Dublin? I am planning to use http://inspectacarorvan.com/ but open to any recommendations.

I am curious if the AC issue can turn into the big bill, if so I would not bother with calling the mechanic, which will save me around €100.

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry for dragging up old thread, my own 2005 Astra H has begun to make this noise when the A/C is switched on. The A/C is still functioning fine, but making loud noise from the engine bay. Anybody got any ideas?
