starter motor ford galaxy

    Hi ...wondering dose anybody know how much it costs for starter motor for a 07 ford galaxy 2.0 diesel 143bhp ....I got a price from a ford garage of € 200 ....maybe its not bad?

    That's a decent price for a new one off ford. You will probably get one cheaper elsewhere in a motor factors or online. A second had one from a scrapper should only be about 50/60 euro.

    No ...its just to buy the starter ...its not a big job to fit it....just to make sure to disconnect the battery first ...

    Don't waste your time with a secondhand unit or a cheap no-brand new one. You will only end up taking it off again!

    I would agree with George, get a new or a good recon unit. That price is good, I would say it probably is a recon unit. If it is new, then it is a really good price.

    I ended up getting one from ford up the north....£100 ,next day delivery,one year warranty ...
    ..ford galway wanted €162 for a reconditioned and the old starter ....and they wanted €270 for new one and the old part ...amazing how prices change in a day...so heres the new one I got
