    the other Aer Lingus planes in the area are all goin in weird formations above Dublin. Interesting, would they be holding off their landing until the returned flight is safely grounded?

    It's landed now, whatever was wrong. Alot of them seem to be holding either to the north or south ... could it be weather-related?

    Seriously though I guess it was holding, thus the racetrack flight pattern. Perhaps it had a tech snag and hoped to resolve ti before landing. Or they had to burn o some fuel to ensure they were not too heavy to land back so soon.

    Flightradar24 saying on twitter that technical problem with wing flaps was the problem. Turned back after circling while engineers tried to sort it.
