There are alloys on the car but the spare is a steel wheel. It has the yellow stickers with do not exceed 80kph etc like a space saver wheel but it's the same size tyre that is on the alloys. I assume that the sticker is stuck on all the spares in the factory and only matters when the wheel is fitted to a car with larger wheels as standard??

I have the same on my Mondeo. I assume it's because of the weight difference steel vs alloy

If it's a normal sized steelie then i would imagine it's some Euro-weeny type sticker that complies to some sort of safety standard (that stops spare wheels destroying bogs or something) and is to be just ignored.

The other issue is that some ABS systems might become inactive due to the smaller dimension affecting the sensors. Can't say I'd fancy driving too fast with one of those on my car anyway, little or no grip when braking and unpredictable handling !
