Web camera in balbriggan

Anyone know what would be involved in setting up a permie web camera in the town, maybe on the square and linked to say balbriggan.net?

has anyone considered it at all?

would be a nice feature to add in this the year of the gathering etc!

They streamed last years St Patricks Day parade online so would know what is involved.

webcam recording from private premise should be ok.
like in the uk, i think that the data privacy laws here do not apply to individuals:

There aren't any data protection issues as it doesn't record personal information. A webcam is no different to CCTV in a shop really.

A cctv in a shop CAN cause data protection issue if there is sound, believe it or not.
