As above, have you experience with using a company that specialises in field representatives i.e sales to residential houses.
If so please let me know as I am in the process of sourcing such a company to discuss selling a unique product I have.
I would be interested in knowing your experiences of such a sales route and also their pricing and commission structure.

Why would you not just hire a salesman, with the potential to manage a future sales team if this is what you need.

If you look at any of the companies that operate in this area you will see that the reps they hire have a limited shelf life, usually because the targets they impose on the rep increase to a level that is unachievable.

The way it works is...They hire a rep to sell your product, they are responsible for all admin, (Tax Prsi etc) providing the rep with P.O.S. company car/van mobile phone etc effectively the rep works for them.

If your average rep is on €500 per week + commission + mobile + expensed car, how much do you think they are going to charge you to pay for all the above + give them a nice handsome profit per rep per week.

There is a few companies that specialise in this area. They look after the prsi, and all other associated costs. Saves you the hassle in that end.

Alot of the residential guys are on commision only. So they tend to be a bit pushy at the door.

I would nearly just look for the sales guys yourself as suggested and pay them a very basic salary with an attractive commision structure / or even commision only if its a product that will move.

Make the commision attractive though otherwise they wont last a week.
