How to clean laptop touchscreen?

This may seem like a silly question but I figured I'd ask it anyway just in case I cause some damage.

I'm using a vaio e14p touchscreen laptop but the screen is all dirty and smudged from, well, using it as a touchscreen!

Simply wiping it with a cloth doesn't work so I'm just wondering what would one recommend to use as a cleaning agent for the screen that wouldn't cause unwanted damage? Some kind of alcohol? Isopropyl alcohol maybe?

Can of foam and a lint-free cloth which has never been in anyone's pocket where it could have picked up grit.

Any alcohol cleaning spray would be best as the liquid evaporates off. I'd put any cleaning liquid on it, just not too much so that it seeps in, just wet the cloth. It's hard enough to damage them by cleaning, just don't scrub too hard :)

If you go into any camera shop and ask for on of their cloths to clean a camera lenses - they work great and no liquid/foam required.
Could also go to Specsavers who have the little cloths for cleaning glasses.
