american frigde freezer slow water dispenser

    hi,
    I have a whirlpool American fridge freezer which has a water and ice dispenser. it's about one year old. the water dispenser was never very fast but recently it's gotten really slow. it takes over 2 minutes to fill a pint glass. is there anything I can do to get it back to the way it was? any suggestions appreciated.

    turn off the tap at the water hose and remove the hose at the fridge end where it attaches to the water solenoid, you will see a thimble like filter in there , remove it and clean, if you look inside the filter you will see a small black rubber washer if you remove that it will increase flow a bit extra

    Fridge filter might need to be replaced.was there any building work or water maintainence lately?
