Hey dudes, searching was fruitless so I'm posting...hope this isn't retreading too much ground.

Just had someone bring me the rather cool present of a ps vita from the US. I was in the act of registering it when it asked for my region...and i wondered. What if i said America? Would i have cheap games from the US PSN? Would I also have access to the US Netflix?

Would greatly appreciate input on this...

You could buy your PSN codes online, and games are region free. But I believe netflix goes by the IP address, so you'd have the irish one.

The PSN region goes by your PSN address. I have a Jap Vita and use my normal account and so go through the EU store etc.

In case you didn't know - your vita is locked to your PSN account, you cant switch back and forth between accounts to browse other regions' stores. You need to factory reset the Vita in order to switch account/region.

I have two vitas, one for my Irish account and one for my US one, the US one has Netflix on it the Irish one doesn't, you need to change the dns to access the US Netflix, easy to do just search it on google. As Cloud said if you are planning on using a US account you can buy the PSN cards online, eBay is where I get mine, and again you can only have one account on the vita at any one time so only US games and Netflix or Irish games, the US store has great offers all the time, it also has many PS1 games never released in Europe.
