    Any money in it?

Did you check in the Biscuit Tin? That would be the first place I would look.

Scraping it can only reduce its value - don't do that!

Put a sticker on the window saying alarmed, and tools removed every night. Then go to bed. It will be gone by the time you wake up.

When you die OP then your comrades will burn it in your memory

    Or so I understand anyway

The only scrap value is in the aluminium siding(if it has any). That's worth about €20. And the chassis(€20). The rest is crap that will swell-up to fill any and all available space (stopping only at the edge of the known universe)once you start pulling it apart. It would be a tragedy if it err, caught fire one dark windless night and burned to the butt. Well, tragedy is a bit strong.
