Check your policy Documents. It depends if it's stated in them or not. Some policies will... some policies wont.

I think if you "crash"into a flood rather than intentionally drive throughout it you may be covered, sobe careful of the wording

They will cover engine damage as a result of a flood but if your car is more than a few years old and/or has any significant mileage done then they will only cover a certain percentage of the cost of the new engine.
