I got a small balcony on 5th floor of a block of flats, I am been plague by pigeons every day every year, they have nested there as well. No matter how many times I scare them away they always come back within a half hour or so. Is there a way I can get rid of them permanently please help, I have come to the end of my tether with them now. Please do not say get an artificial Birds to scare them away as it does not work either.

Dont know about keeping them away for good but I used to bring my Harris hawk to my old Job and she does keep them away for a while though they come back after few weeks
The job also put plastic spikes on walls and it stopped them landing on it

What do you put in your pies that they like so much. I want to keep them away for good...

The sit on the balcony rail and despite how many times a day I keep driving them away they keep coming back. I cannot put plastic spikes on the balcony railings as they will keep falling off. Any other suggestion please. It has now become a big problem for me.

Surely you could drill the spikes in the railings
I have them on the back wall to stop the cats walking on them and works a treat birds don't land there either

Just setting the spikes down on the rail is not going to work. You can get the anti roosting spikes mounted on a flat "rail" kind of contraption and a couple of screws/cable ties will keep them in place. Do the same for the nest location although a bit more creativity may be required.

leave them alone and find something else to distract your mind.
